Matcha Smoothie Feature

Superpower Your Smoothie With Matcha Green Tea

A great way to add a little kick in the pants to your daily green smoothie is to add some matcha to it. Matcha is powdered green tea leaves, traditionally stirred in to hot water to create a tea. A cup of matcha tea actually has five times more antioxidants in it than even the most super of the superfoods (goji berries, dark chocolate, blueberries), and it has a variety of amazing benefits to it like supporting your immune system, keeping your heart healthy, and boosting your energy. So why not add a little to your morning smoothie? You’re already packing in essential daily vitamins and minerals when you use greens in your smoothie. Add a little extra green tea powder and you’ll get a whole bunch of extra added benefits!

How to Make a Green Smoothie with Essential Oils

A green smoothie is one of the fastest foods that you can make it your kitchen in under ten minutes with prep and clean up. Make sure that you have a great blender for your green smoothie to produce the smoothest green smoothie without chunks of greens. I prefer Vitamix, or Blendtec blenders for the creamiest smoothies. Once you have all of your ingredients, you can get started making your first green smoothie.

First, you’re going to start with a liquid base. Just make sure your liquid is nearest to your blade in whatever blender you have. If you have a Vitamix, or Blendtec, you’ll fill up the blender to the 2.5-3 cup mark with a liquid base for 2 quarts of smoothie. You can use coconut water, water, nut milk or a juice as your base.
