Superpower Your Smoothie With Matcha Green Tea

Matcha Green Machine-01

A great way to add a little kick in the pants to your daily green smoothie is to add some matcha to it. Matcha is powdered green tea leaves, traditionally stirred in to hot water to create a tea. A cup of matcha tea actually has five times more antioxidants in it than even the most super of the superfoods (goji berries, dark chocolate, blueberries), and it has a variety of amazing benefits to it like supporting your immune system, keeping your heart healthy, and boosting your energy. So why not add a little to your morning smoothie? You’re already packing in essential daily vitamins and minerals when you use greens in your smoothie. Add a little extra green tea powder and you’ll get a whole bunch of extra added benefits!
