I describe all of my favorite ways to use Peppermint Essential Oil in one of my essential oil spotlight videos.  It is not currently available on Youtube, but please contact me if you would like to see it.  In the meantime, below is the video’s transcript, so you can learn more about peppermint oil!

Hi. This is Dr. Mariza and I’m going to be talking to you about one of my favorite essential oils and that is peppermint oil. Now peppermint is one of my favorite oils because I use it for so many different things every single day. So I’m going to talk to you a little bit about how I use the oil every day and then give you suggestions for how you can use it as well. Now I want to tell you that there are actually hundreds of ways to use peppermint oil and I’m not going to list all of those, but I’m going to list the ones that I find have been the most beneficial for people that I’ve worked with.

So the first way that I use peppermint oil is I love the way that it gives me the best burst of energy. I actually combine this oil with an orange oil, a citrus oil because the combination of the two… if you just put it in your hands and breathe it in just like this. Usually I add the citrus oil as well, and just rub my hands together and it just immediately opens up airways. It just gives me this burst of energy. Now another way that I love to do it as well, if I want an immediate burst of energy, is I work out super early in the morning and some mornings I just do not want to get out of bed. But, if I do a peppermint lick, I’m pretty much up in a matter of seconds.

I want you to know that a peppermint lick or a peppermint oil drop is the equivalent of 28 cups of peppermint tea. That is big, big potency right there. That is like supercharged potency, and so how it works, I just make a fist like this, I take a small drop, I want you to know that the bigger the drop, the bigger the wow, so I’m going to try to do a small drop right now in front of you, and then you just lick it. Just like that. Woo! It feels like just amazingness right there. I could literally go run a mile right after this video. So I love the energy bursting power of peppermint.

Other ways that I use peppermint is it is wonderful for digestive support. I just rub it on my stomach for any occasional discomfort. Sometimes I want to clear out my nose so that I can breathe a little bit better. Another way I love to use peppermint is that it is a wonderful cooling oil. Now I will say it doesn’t get super hot where I live, but sometimes I travel to super hot areas like Vegas or Texas and I love to use peppermint in a spray bottle. I typically have a little glass spray bottle with me, and I literally just spritz myself whenever I’m just feeling overheated.

Another way that I use peppermint is if ever I have any occasional tension. So often times I’m on the road for long hours, or I’m on a plane, or maybe I’m just working at my computer for a long time. Peppermint is wonderful to rub on tired muscles, so I usually apply it around the neck or around the temples.

The last way that I use peppermint on a day to day basis is I love to add it to water. I love to drink water, but sometimes I like to dress my water up, and I’m kind of a water infusion guru. So one of the ways that I use peppermint in my water is I just add a couple drops in the morning to one of my favorite water infusions. Today I have a really great, fun water infusion that took me like two seconds to make. It’s just lemons, strawberries, a little bit of lemon juice, and then I just add one drop of peppermint oil, just like this. I mix it up and then I can drink it throughout the entire day and actually refill this container whenever I run out of water.

It just makes my water taste better. It gives me a burst of energy throughout the day so that I’m consistent, and it makes my breath great so that I am instantly kissable. Because I know I love to give my husband lots of kisses and peppermint oil is a great way to make sure that I’m always kissable.

So those are just some of the ways that I love to use peppermint oil. I hope that you get to try peppermint really soon and see all of the wonderful benefits that it can have for you and your family. Thanks so much for coming by and I look forward to seeing you again!
