Quotes

“It was like, ‘Hey, your colleagues and your peers, your M.D.’s and your Ph.D. researchers have studied these things and researched these things and have found them to be true. Let’s try to apply what they have researched and take better care of our patients.’” (10:42)

“There is an old saying, ‘One person’s food is another person’s poison.’ And so we always have to honor the uniqueness of an individual.” (19:33)

“I’m not a researcher myself, I am a clinician. But I was accumulating all of the research being done and basically took that and put it into a culmination so that I could help people better find which diet they needed to follow, especially as it related to gluten.” (26:53)

“Grain is being grown to feed the masses, but that doesn’t make it healthy. That is why the government had to ban the sale of it in 1943 because it was killing people.” (31:03)

“We have been so brainwashed to believe that we need grain as a part of our balanced diet that we don’t know any better, most people. But grain is not an essential food group, so you can survive plenty well without grain.” (38:31)

Loved this episode. I am 14 weeks pregnant and my gluten sensitivities have heightened like crazy. I am working to move entirely to eliminating grains. I also have a sensitivity to soy, probably a worse reaction than gluten. I was wondering if you have ever addressed or discussed soy sensitivity?

I know your sessions have been focused on women who have autoimmune or gastro-intestinal issues. However, I can say that as a man I have many of the same type of issue so I was appreciative of Dr. Osborne’s session on gluten. I have battled gluten for almost 15 years and have substituted rice and corn for wheat. Now I must think about eliminating all grains and see if this helps me feel better physically. No one has really helped me in this quest so hearing Dr. Osborne’s work was very helpful. I only wish I had a clinician close to me that understood this as well as he does.
