Boost Energy

Get More Energy With These Top 3 Habits

The biggest pain point for many people today is the lack of energy to get through the day without feeling exhausted and burned out.  Several years ago, my mom’s biggest obstacle was not having enough energy to get everything done during her long work days and nights.  She always felt like she was running on reserves and it showed.  Her body was taking a beating emotionally and physically.  She finally came to me at her breaking point, when her health was at its worse and we turned things around for her within a matter of months.

Many of my patients, like my mom, have to-do lists, heavy work loads and demands that stack up. And those items are tackled at the expense of our health.  Low energy and burnout slowly lead to issues effecting our weight, hormones, sleep and mood.  Messing with someone who is chronically exhausted is like walking into a lion’s den.

Grapefruit Essential Oil Uses and Benefits

Essential oils have truly nourishing properties, and grapefruit is no exception. Grapefruit essential oil is one of the most refreshing and uplifting essential oils on the planet, and doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade is the purest grapefruit oil on the market. Grapefruit oil is well known as an energizer and invigorator, a mood booster, a metabolism supporter, and as a purifying/detoxifying oil. The oil is cold-pressed from the grapefruit rinds, which gives it that fresh citrus scent with a hint of bitterness, just as a fresh grapefruit would.  Truly an oil of many purposes, I’m excited to share with you a few of my favorites uses and recipes for grapefruit essential oil.

Not only will you feel fuller longer with the healthy fat, but it helps your body absorb and digest minerals from the veggies, making this smoothie a great way to start your day out right!

Why You Should Trust Your Body & 5 Steps to Get There

By Hannah Bornstein, Holistic Health Coach

How many times have you been at a grocery store, restaurant, or even in front of your refrigerator and felt totally confused and helpless about what you should eat? With all the endless food options, mass-marketing from food companies, and new studies coming out every day that tell you a new food that will either kill you or heal you, it can be overwhelming to make the seemingly simple decision of how to nourish your body at any given moment. So what do we usually go for? Either something we know tastes good, something we know we “should” eat (because it’s low-carb, gluten-free, paleo, raw, low-calorie, etc.), or literally whatever’s in front of us. Ok, cool – so what about what your body actually needs?

I’m a huge believer in a concept called bio-individuality – the idea that everyone’s body is completely unique, so no one diet is right for every person. This concept can be totally freeing (“I knew I didn’t notice a difference when I went gluten-free!), but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. You are the only person in the world who actually lives in your body. Every day you walk around in it – eating, drinking, working, playing and sleeping. You are the only person who experiences your body’s needs and what happens when those needs are either met or denied.
